Norway Visit Spring 2023

Norway

Trip Highlights

Norway is a beautiful land of contradictions. Pristine, tropical like beaches lay within the shadows of snow capped mountains.

Cities like Bergen and Oslo are home of several high-tech companies, yet are surrounded by thousands of years of history.

A country long in length, history and fun

The terrain is quite diverse featuring glaciers, steep mountains, lush countryside, and of course, the fjords. Lucky for me and other English speakers, nearly everyone speaks English. Though, I did learn a few Norwegian words and phrases which came in handy.

Day hikes and even overnight camping is easily accessible all over the country. Allemannsretten (meaning "everyman's right") is the law of the land.  It says that everyone is free to roam on uncultivated or non-fenced land. Of course, one must be respectful of the land and its owners just as you respect any other area.
